Fibroids

Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in the uterus. They can vary in size and number, often causing symptoms like heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and pressure on nearby organs. Treatment options range from medication to surgical procedures, depending on the severity of symptoms and the patient's reproductive goals. Fibroid treatment options include medication to alleviate symptoms such as pain and heavy bleeding, minimally invasive procedures like uterine artery embolization or focused ultrasound surgery to shrink or remove fibroids, and surgical interventions like myomectomy or hysterectomy for more severe cases. Treatment choice depends on factors such as the size, number, and location of fibroids, as well as the patient's symptoms and fertility goals.
